Community Corrections Center – Lincoln Women’s Housing & Visitation Center

The renovation and expansion of the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L) was a top priority for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) to ensure sight and sound separation for men and women.The female community custody unit has two 80-bed pods, each with 40 two-person rooms, totaling 160 beds. Dining takes place in separate areas for men and women from a centralized kitchen. The health services area offers independent access for men and women and will improve healthcare delivery. The interior design creates an inspiring environment with original artwork and multi-purpose rooms. The expansion also offers more work experience opportunities for both men and women. The female living unit comprises case management workspaces, classrooms,personal laundry facilities, and recreational areas to support reconnection with family and friends after release.
