A new 7,500 sq. ft. building is being constructed to serve as a premier electrical training facility, expanding the capabilities of the Lincoln Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center (JATC). This project will significantly increase classroom space and allow the existing building to be renovated into state-of-the-art lab facilities, enhancing hands-on learning opportunities. The expansion will boost JATC’s capacity to train future electricians and support the growing demand for skilled labor in the region. Backed by the City of Lincoln’s Future-Ready Workforce Initiative, this effort reflects a broader commitment to preparing residents for high-demand careers in the electrical trades.
