Kingery Construction Co. has performed multiple services for Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corporation, more than doubling the size of the original footprint of their facility.  We have been able to meet the expanding needs of this international corporation in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Building Expansion – In a continuing effort to save costs by localizing components manufactured for motorcycles and jet skis, in 1990, Kawasaki Corporation determined a major building expansion program was required. Kingery Construction Co. worked closely with the Kawasaki construction team to provide pre-construction services, including budgeting, scheduling and planning. Through careful teamwork, Kingery Construction Co. organized and completed the construction of four large manufacturing phases totaling more than 240,000 square feet, eventually forming one facility: Sheet Molding Compound Facility (SMC).

Training and Maintenance Additions – A new addition for the training and orientation of new employees and continuing education/training for present employees also include an audio/visual storage room and general office space. The maintenance addition provide space for a variety of Kawasaki Corporation’s service vehicles and includes a tool room, technician’s room and receiving rooms. An overhead crane hoist is provided in the maintenance addition for the ease of moving large objects and pulling engines for various vehicles. Each addition consists of a steel frame with either pre-cast concrete exterior wall panels and/or insulated metal panels.
